<p>The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has officially released the notification for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2025 for Group C posts under the new CET Policy notified on 31st December 2024. This detailed blog provides key information about the application schedule, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and reservation rules that every applicant should know before applying.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-important-dates-at-a-glance">Important Dates at a Glance</h2>



<p>To ensure timely application and document submission, candidates must take note of the following critical dates:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Date of Publication:</strong> 26th May 2025</li>



<li><strong>Opening of Online Registration:</strong> 28th May 2025 (11:59 PM)</li>



<li><strong>Closing Date for Online Application Submission:</strong> 12th June 2025 (11:59 PM)</li>



<li><strong>Last Date to Deposit Fee:</strong> 14th June 2025 (06:00 PM)</li>



<li><strong>Validity Period for BCA/BCB/EWS Certificates:</strong> Issued between 1st April 2025 and the closing date</li>



<li><strong>Eligibility Certificate for ESM Family Members:</strong> Issued/renewed on or after 13th June 2024 and before the closing date</li>



<li><strong>Admit Card Download Date:</strong> Will be announced separately</li>



<li><strong>Date of Examination:</strong> Will be communicated separately</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-registration-and-application-process">Registration and Application Process</h2>



<p>The <a href="https://iashindu.com/haryana-cet/">Haryana CET</a> 2025 for Group C posts will be conducted as per the newly notified policy. Candidates are required to register on the designated portal <a href="https://onetimeregn.haryana.gov.in/">onetimeregn.haryana.gov.in</a>.</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Previously Registered Candidates:</strong> Those who had registered for the CET 2022 must use the same CET Registration Number.</li>



<li><strong>New Applicants:</strong> They will be allotted a new Registration Number, which will serve as the reference ID for all future correspondence.</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-minimum-educational-qualifications">Minimum Educational Qualifications</h2>



<p>To be eligible for CET Group C, candidates must fulfill the following educational requirements:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Essential Qualification:</strong> 10+2 or equivalent</li>



<li><strong>Alternative:</strong> Matric with an additional qualification</li>



<li><strong>Provisional Eligibility:</strong> Candidates appearing for the qualifying exam in 2025 are also eligible to apply, subject to attaining the qualification before final selection.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>Note:</strong> Equivalence to 10+2 will be determined as per Haryana Government’s notification dated 22nd February 2021.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-examination-pattern-and-structure">Examination Pattern and Structure</h2>

<li><strong>Level of Exam:</strong> Senior Secondary (10+2), except Hindi and English which will be of Matric level</li>



<li><strong>Total Questions:</strong> 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)</li>



<li><strong>Total Marks:</strong> 100</li>



<li><strong>Duration:</strong> 1 hour 45 minutes</li>



<li><strong>Medium:</strong> Bilingual – English and Hindi</li>



<li><strong>Mode:</strong> Offline (OMR-based)</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-marking-scheme">Marking Scheme</h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>No Negative Marking for Wrong Answers</strong></li>



<li><strong>Negative Marking for Unattempted Questions:</strong> Minus 1 mark for not filling the fifth option (unattempted) on the OMR sheet</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-minimum-qualifying-marks">Minimum Qualifying Marks</h2>



<p>To qualify the CET examination, candidates must secure minimum marks as per their category:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>General Category:</strong> 50%</li>



<li><strong>Reserved Categories (vertical and horizontal):</strong> 40%</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-reservation-guidelines">Reservation Guidelines</h2>



<p>The Haryana Government provides reservation benefits to certain categories of bonafide Haryana residents. It is crucial for applicants to understand the certification requirements and eligibility conditions.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-1-bonafide-haryana-residents">1. <strong>Bonafide Haryana Residents</strong></h3>



<p>Reservation is applicable only to eligible candidates residing in Haryana. Reserved category candidates from other states will be treated as general category candidates.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-2-bca-and-bcb-non-creamy-layer">2. <strong>BCA and BCB (Non-Creamy Layer)</strong></h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Must produce fresh certificates issued between 01.04.2025 and the CET closing date.</li>



<li>Certificates issued for Panchayati Raj elections or Central Government jobs will not be accepted.</li>



<li>Candidates falling in the creamy layer will not be eligible for reservation benefits.</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-3-economically-weaker-sections-ews">3. <strong>Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)</strong></h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The certificate must be valid for the year of application and issued between 01.04.2025 and the closing date.</li>



<li>Only the state-prescribed format is acceptable. Central Government format is not valid.</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-4-scheduled-castes-dsc-amp-osc">4. <strong>Scheduled Castes – DSC &amp; OSC</strong></h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The SC category in Haryana is now sub-categorized into Deprived Scheduled Castes (DSC) and Other Scheduled Castes (OSC).</li>



<li>Applicants must clearly indicate their sub-category and submit the appropriate certificate by the closing date.</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-5-ex-servicemen-esm">5. <strong>Ex-Servicemen (ESM)</strong></h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>ESM candidates must submit documents showing their date of joining, discharge, and nature of discharge from the Armed Forces.</li>



<li>Dependents of ESM should produce eligibility certificates issued after 13th June 2024.</li>



<li>Candidates currently serving in the Armed Forces must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) confirming completion of service within one year from the closing date.</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-6-children-grandchildren-of-freedom-fighters">6. <strong>Children/Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters</strong></h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Reservation benefits will be granted as per the latest government instructions issued in October 2021 and April 2022.</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-additional-instructions">Additional Instructions</h2>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Once submitted, personal and category details cannot be edited.</strong> Applicants must ensure accuracy before the final submission.</li>



<li><strong>Centre Allocation:</strong> Once a centre is allotted, it will not be changed under normal circumstances.</li>



<li><strong>Certificate Format:</strong> Only certificates issued in the prescribed formats (attached in the appendices of the notification) will be considered valid.</li>
</ul>
