Highlights of UPSC Calendar 2025
1. Civil Services Examination (CSE)
This is one of the most prestigious exams in India, conducted to recruit officers for IAS, IPS, IFS, and other civil services. It consists of three stages: Preliminary, Main, and Interview.
- Prelims: Scheduled for 25th May 2025, it’s a one-day test with two objective papers: General Studies and CSAT.
- Main: Starting on 22nd August 2025, this stage involves descriptive exams on various subjects, including optional papers.
2. Combined Geo-Scientist Examination
This examination is conducted to recruit geologists, geophysicists, and chemists. It comprises Preliminary (objective) and Main (descriptive) stages.
- Prelims: 9th February 2025.
- Main: 21st June 2025.
3. Engineering Services Examination (ESE)
Designed for engineering graduates aspiring for technical positions in government departments, the ESE has Preliminary, Main, and Interview rounds.
- Prelims: 8th June 2025.
- Main: 10th August 2025.
4. NDA & NA Examination
This exam is for students seeking entry into the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy.
- First Session: 13th April 2025.
- Second Session: 14th September 2025.
5. Indian Forest Service Examination
A specialized examination for recruitment in the Indian Forest Service, it includes a preliminary exam (via CSE) and a detailed main exam.
